Help Manual For Sqa Careers

Registration

(a) Click the “SignUp” button on the right hand side of the home page.
(b) Fill the registration form rendered, following the help tips furnished. Note that the columns marked with “*” are mandatory fields.
(c) The username and password are mailed to the Id specified by you in the registration form. So make sure to enter a valid email id.
(d) Click the link provided in the mail, to activate your profile and login using the username and password specified in the mail.


I) My SQA Careers:

Resumes:

• Lists out all the five resumes that have been uploaded by the seeker, in which only one resume can be made public (i.e. can be viewed by the employer).
• Your resume can also be down loaded from this page.


Save Jobs:

• Lists out all the jobs that have been saved by the seeker.


Change My Account

(a) After logging in click “change password” or “Update Info” link present at the bottom right corner of the page.
(b)This page gives the registered details of the user. Modify the fields that are to be updated and click the update button.


II) Find Jobs

(a)Quick search: This is used when jobs are to be searched promptly and which only bothers about Keywords, Location and Category.
(b)Advance Search: This page renders an advanced version of search providing a detailed Search criterion for the job seeker where he has a good scope of expressing his educational background or work experience or whatever. This search can further be extended to category, company, city and state i.e. a search result satisfying the entire given criterion is finally obtained.
(c)Company Search: Clicking on an alphabet in this page gives the list of all the companies starting with that alphabet. And clicking on the company furnishes the complete details of the company. This also provides further search depending on the location, category and keywords of that particular company. This search can further be extended to category, company, city and state ie a search result satisfying all entire given criterion is finally obtained.
(d)Category Search: This page renders the list of categories pertaining to the openings. Clicking on the links would display the openings of that category. This search can further be extended to category, company, city and state belonging to that particular category initially selected i.e. a search result satisfying all entire given criterion is finally obtained.
(e)Location Search: This page renders the list of locations pertaining to the openings. Clicking on the location gives all the openings from that location. The search results are provided with “save job” and “Similar job” links to save the jobs you are interested for future reference and to view the similar jobs respectively. This search can further be extended to category, company, city of the initially selected location and state i.e. a search result satisfying all entire given criterion is finally obtained.
Note: “All words” in the drop down lists out the search result containing all the given words in the key words where as “Any Word” goes for the results that contain any of the given words.


Save Job:

(a) The search results are provided with “save jobs” link which helps to save that particular job for future reference.
(b) The link to this page is provided at the top right corner of “find jobs” page keeps track of all the jobs that are saved.


Applied Jobs

(a) Clicking on the job titles of the search results would yield the complete details of that particular job.
(b) Clicking on the “Apply” button would let you apply to this job.
(c) Clicking on the “Apply Later” button would save the job in “Saved Jobs” page.
(d) The track of all the jobs that are applied to, is maintained in the “Applied Jobs” page, the link to which is provided top left corner of the “Find Jobs” page.


III) Post Resume

Posting the resume is absolutely free. You Can Post Resume in three different ways such as build online, Copy Paste and Upload Resume. The seeker can upload a maximum of five resumes.


(a)Build On Line

You can build your resume with us by filling the information into the standard templates these templates are categorized into

1) Resume Information
2) Academics and Work
3) Preferences.

1) Resume Information

a) Resume title helps, grabbing the employer’s attention at a glance. Hence should be captivating and to the context.
b) Resume status defines the viewing status of your resume. Note that only one resume can be active to view at a time. This active resume will showcase on the employer search results. Whereas your other 4 would be stored for you choose them while you are applying for similar or other jobs of your liking.
2) Academics and Work: This makes a very crucial part in building up the resume, so make sure that all the information provided is genuine.

4) If more than one selection is to be made, press ctrl and select. Location can be selected from more than one country.


a) Build Online

The information furnished in these templates is employed in building up your resume in accordance with the guide lines of hr-xml format. Later your resume can be downloaded in the word format. You would get the optimum benefit when you go for this type of resume building, as the resume is built in accordance with the hr-xml format and your skill set, industry and work experience will be directly entered into our database catalog. Thus your resume will have more hitting proportion here when compared to “upload resume” and “copy paste resume” options. Whereas in “Upload resume” and “Copy paste resume” you can upload your resume by browsing it from your system or paste it in the column provided respectively, which ever is convenient to you.

View Resume

This page provides an option to “view and edit” the details of the job seeker, which would be reckoned by the employers.

• Resume Information: This column deals with the title, status, description of your resume.
• Personal & Contact Information: This column deals with your contact details. Make sure to give valid email Ids and phone numbers as employer would try to contact, based on the information provide here.
• Educational Details: This column deals with your educational background.
• Work Experience: This column deals with your experience details, where you can talk about your skills, technologies you have worked on, etc.
• References: This column deals with the contact details of an experienced person in your field who would provide feedback about your work efficiency
• Desired Job: This column deals with the post you are try to apply depending on the category you select.
• Desired Location: This column allows you to specify your location of interest and your willingness to relocate.
• Detailed Resume: This is how an employer views your resume.
• Languages known: The job seeker can list down all the languages that are known to him/her.
• Preview to Recruiters:
• Certification: This column deals with the certifications acquired by you from any organization or firm that is in relevance to your resume.
• Work Authorization: This column deals with the credentials like passport, work permits etc that an employer would look for in a job seeker. Make sure that correct data is entered in this column.
• Security Credentials: This column pertains to those who are in defense forces. Please fill the genuine information.


Manage Resumes

Manage resume keeps track of the resumes that have been uploaded by the job seeker like Resume title, status, submitted date and activities. Saves in the activities gives you the no.of employers who saved your resume and Views gives you the no.of employers who viewed your resume.

Job Alerts

(a)New Job Alert

(i)Is Agent:

If “Is Agent” option is checked, Alert mails are sent to the mail id, provided in this page. Else it is used as a search criterion.
The period which the alert mails are to be sent is also decided in this page.


(ii)Job Alert

Job Alerts provides you with the selection criteria, which can be saved. Running the saved alerts would fetch you the desired jobs.

(b)View Alerts: Keeps track of the saved alerts for future use.
Change My Job Alerts: This option provides an option to edit the Job Alerts.


Covering Letters

Covering letter provides the summery of the resume, keeping the employer away from going through whole of the resume.

• Received Applications: This lists all the applications for jobs posted.
• Smart Talent: Smart talent is a special feature, which automatically provides all the resumes matching with the employer’s requirement.
• Recent Postings: This renders all the recent postings, with the option of reposting, activating and deleting.
• Recent Folders: This renders the list of all the folders created by the employer.

III) My Jobs

Post Jobs

a) New Posting: This page allows you (the employer) to post a job with a job with its description and the requirement details.


View All Jobs:

• This page renders the list of all the jobs that have been posted (i.e. Active, Inactive and Expired) with their titles, status, Updated and Expiry dates and the actions like “view” and “edit”.
• Status tells if the job is active or not. The status of the jobs which have the requirement in future can be set as “inactive” initially and can be activated later on.
• The jobs can be selected and activated or inactivated according to the requirement, by clicking on the “Activate” and “Inactivate” links.
• This page also provides a search engine which provided the job postings between so and so dates.


Posted Jobs:

• Lists out the postings that are active.
• This page also provides a search engine which provided the jobs posting between so and so dates.


Saved Jobs

• Lists out the posting that are saved for the future use, i.e. only the Inactive ones.
• This page also provides a search engine which provided the jobs posting between so and so dates.


Expired Jobs

• Lists out all the job postings that have been expired.
• This page also provides a search engine which provided the jobs posting between so and so dates

V) Folders


a) New Folders: A new folder can be created from this page which allows the employer to save the feedback of things like the interested resumes.


b) Manage Folders

• This displays all the folders that have been created by the employer, which can be renamed or deleted.
• Clicking on the folder gives the list of all the saved resumes.
• On further clicking the resume a page with complete details of the resume where the options like “Add to Folder”, “Contact seeker” , “Download resume”, “Approve/Reject” and “Schedule Interview” is provided.
